    • Just posted the same question on the insiders board....Very disappointing....The running back group has a lot of sub 4.5 40's....When is our Pro day?...Maybe he can catch a team or two's eye then, hopefully....

    • Just counted that 10 running backs ran a sub 4.5 40....but, hopefully DJ's pass catching, blocking, short yardage ability and potential on special teams might find him a spot on a roster at least a practice squad...

    My 3 year old daughter complained of the smell coming from my 2 year old sons diaper.  I asked her what it smelled like.  Her reply...WVU!

    Are you sure?  The schedule says RBs and OLs run today....QBs, WRs and TEs run tomorrow....

    • Yeah I looked on nfl.com combine tracker and clicked on the Saturday schedule. Devon and several other running backs are scheduled for tomorrow.

    • I hate to be flipping and forth between the insiders board and main board, but just in case there are members that are planning to watch the combine tomorrow to see DJ and didn't get the word from the insider board....

    DJ posted on Instagram that his time is over at the combine....

    Kinda sad, really

    Sad indeed. He likely will get nothing more than a UFA or camp invite. It's a shame that injuries have robbed him of a potential NFL career. But there's bigger things in life than football.

    • Doughty ran a 5.22 40.  Allow me to put that in perspective.

    A few trips to Athens ago, we parked and tailgated next to what I believe was maybe their lacrosse or soccer field or something on the other side of their baseball field.  We spent 3-4 hours drinking then went out and started tossing a football around on the field.  Being drunk, this of course led to people challenging each other to races in the 40. Being an old guy, I kept time using my iPhone stopwatch function.  The guys who ran were all between 28-35 years old and in varying states of physical condition.  The common denominator was that they were all drunk.  Out of the 8 or so guys that participated, 6 of the 8 drunks ran better than a 5.22 and that's with me having dulled reflexes on hitting the stop button when they crossed the line.

    • Banker, so did the drinking speed guys up by virtue of running with reckless  effort?  OR did it slow runners down by not running a straight line?

    • My guess is they felt faster, but we slower.  You seem to add a lot of unneeded/exaggerated movement when trying to run while intoxicated.   It was very funny to watch.

    • It's a miracle no one got hurt...The last time I was with a bunch of guys that wanted to race...Two of the 5 of them had to have surgery afterwards....running as fast as you can, at the age of 30+, with cold unstretched muscles is a bad idea, generally...Maybe the alcohol helped like guys that get in car wrecks drunk walk away uninjured....

    • Several years ago they had a Herd fantasy camp. It was great fun and I actually worked to get in shape before the camp. Several guys didn't. In addition to seeing the football field, several of our number got to tour the trainer's office.

    • Not endorsing alcohol by any means but it is a great muscle relaxer. I get these tight spasms between my shoulder blades from time to time, and drinking a couple of beers really helps to calm the muscles down. Just sayin.
