Topic: Athletes on Social Media

My b/f and I were debating about athletes on social media. Good idea? Bad idea? What started the debate was Litton's tweet:  "Here's a more valid prediction. Marshall smashes WKU next season."

I know we love what he said, but does social media interfere with the game? Should players just let their actions speak?

Hate it....social media makes it too easy to say things without consequences...you can hide behind a keyboard.

I'm old school and don't care for it but with that said I realize we live in a different day and age from what I grew up in. It's different for sure. I get it but doesn't mean I like it or agree with it.

It's here to stay and there's really nothing we can do about it....The main drawback is when a player becomes disgruntled he instantly has a ready made stage and audience to trash whomever he choses and then sometimes a bleacher reports type writer will catch wind of their remarks and write an article about it and make it even bigger embarrassment....

Then you also sometimes get players that are pretty raw and explicit and that can be embarrassing as well...
