Guess who painted itself into a corner?

Marshall.

When the usually ultra-competitive Herd practically yawned during a sleepy first-half performance in an eventual 83-74 loss at Middle Tennessee last Saturday, it carried distinct consequences.

That's why Marshall's home games against Louisiana Tech at 7 p.m. Thursday and vs. Southern Miss at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Cam have taken on such a heightened degree of importance.

I told Jon and Stevie after practice Tuesday night that we expected no less than a 5 game winning streak. They both agreed that would be a good start.  I love these guys. No selfishness about any of them.

This has been a fun season no matter what.  A good run in the tournament will make it a memorial one.
