There are very specific things the constitution says that federal government has the power to do. The rest is left up to the states.

The federal government and government across the board has become to big and bloated. We can't pay for it anymore. Then, you have half the country on the dole and it is a recipe for disaster. It is hard to believe some clown like Bernie Sanders isn't laughed off the stage. That is what happens now that the hippy generation is charge and their offspring is looking for a handout and their magical nirvana.

At some point reality is we can't pay for it anymore. The folks with no skin in the game will break the backs of the producers and the wallet of the USA. Have you seen the amount of folks now on the dole? You can only have so many tits suckers until it collapses.

At one time they probably did. Then they went to shi* and it got to the point they made themselves somewhat obsolete and made their workers non competitive. Modern unions are nothing more than big business themselves.

Throw in immigration, by the way what the Democrats want for more voters, and the unions are pretty much a tiny spec of the work force. 

Go watch a bridge being built in WV. White workers, probably in a union. Or even go look at a house being built in WV. Now go down South or other parts of the country. It is not the white man nor really the black man doing that work.

I'm not a union guy, never have been BUT....Yes there was a time that they were good for workers. My grandfather worked in a coal mine with his dad as a 10 year old in Harrison County, WV. At 12 he was a full time employee in a glass factory. With the advent of the NLRB and OSHA they are no longer a necessity.
