Topic: Herd Loses Another Coach

If this is a trend, I'm not happy about it...losing coaches & assistants to other schools. 
This time it's Tiffany Prays, Women's Golf head coach.  She's going to the Univ. of South Florida.

That's the 3rd person from the Herd's coaching staff in the same week.  I'm all for coaches bettering themselves, but it still hurts losing them.  Now, coaching golf in Florida seems like a pretty sweet deal and playing/practicing 12 months a year is ideal, recruiting players to play in sunny Florida, and the $$ is probably much better......hmmm, where do I sign?   ::)

So, the bottom line?  Better facilities & more $$ for good coaches to stay in Huntington.

yes, and in this case she's a florida native, when to miami, etc.

Now that's a nice facility!
No wonder she took that job.

Put that facility up at Guyan CC and you would have a first class program.

It would take, say, $2 million to provide that class of a facility.
Peanuts, with lottery winnings.

But would build one like Univ. of Illinois has.  Designed for cold weather environment and truly first class.   :)

we're fortunate that Doc and DD could retire here.  Doc is now a proven program builder.  DD is going in a direction that most are positive and excited about.  Other very good coaches, too.  stability in men's FB BB and BaseB and women's BB is at the moment very positive to counter the current/future loss of revenue.  we know more often than not we are probably a stepping stone for HCs.

seems natural coaches early in their careers move more often and for many reasons.  certainly the current pressures of the unknown future of college athletics, facilities race and having to do more with less would cause any coach to scrutinize their career path forward.

i hope the coaches and AD continue to hit home runs when they hire replacements and that those replacements are necessary because current coaches are bettering themselves and that MU continue a great reputation for hiring top notch people who have positively impacted college athletic programs elsewhere.

one thing is for sure, MU, Herd fans and Huntington have in the past, weathered financial and personal diversity with dignified success.

This is just not a trend in coached but a trend overall in the work force.  Very few people stay with the same company more than a few years...movement is the common theme today.
