This should be exactly the type of game our guys MOST want to play! The perfect game. A top 25 big conference school with some notoriety, a regional foe, that IS actually 'better than us', but that we are within striking distance of, and we get them at home. That should be the type of game that made you work out extra hard all spring and summer to improve yourself to get ready for. The type of game that Doc and company will prepare and scheme extra hard for. THAT is what it takes for the current incarnation of Marshall Football, where we are right now, to beat a top 25.
We used to do that type of thing from time to time, yes? It is because our players and coaches knew they had to prepare extra to honor the Green and White, so they did. (That, plus some NFL difference-makers on the roster didn't hurt either.)
Now if this current group of Herdsters thinks they are already 'all that', and that somehow we are more or less even with Louisville already, so we'll just show up, flip a coin, and let the chips fall where they may, then we will be in for a woodshedding. IMO.
Get your @$$es ready, and THEN spot the ball
