  • If they are the best we have then Doc needs to hold open tryouts on Monday.

Town drunks can do what those guys do.

  • When you recruit kids who aren't smart enough to follow rules and stay out of trouble, this is what happens. Doc needs to cut down on taking chances and get some solid kids in here that will be here 4-5 years. Consistency wins titles, not the highest attrition in D1 football.

  • Obviously one unit of the team didn't cost us the game, but they certainly are a handicap.

No, I still think our coaches cost us this game.

Gotta go with fly here. Two weeks in a row, we refused to play offensive football.  WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY   too conservative.
Second half was Fun Football. Wish Doc and co. would do that all the time. But for 7 years, he has proved his hesitancy...

And I'll say this as well. Chase has not looked very good all year.  He is missing way too many wide open receivers. And I suspect he is not normally going through his reads and finding the open man.  I am very disappointed in his play. He does not look like the "second coming of Cato".   Yeah, he has had some success - done some good things but still I find his overall play disappointing.  His receivers have helped him a lot on the TDs he's thrown.

In 4th qtr, I kept hoping for Chase to fake a hand-off and roll out to the right for a nice run. Not to be with Doc and co. I guess.

How have his receivers helped him? The only time I've seen a receiver of ours get any separation , at all, from a DB in the last two years was tonight and Litton threw an 84 yard touchdown.

  • On corners.. Richardson played reps at Michigan. Michael Johnson was a #29 DB in the
Country and neither can start. Are we swinging and missing or are we just missing as a coaching staff.

  • The secondary cannot cover...must find a way to get more pressure on the QB or we are dead.

Spot on, herd2win.  For 3 games in a row, starting with Akron, we've have had virtually "Zilch" of a pass rush.  Frankly, our D line has been "manhandled", seldom getting within sniffing distance of the QB. Basically playing straight rush, no stunts, looping, heck, I would like to see one of our D-lineman get a hand up once in a while to try and block a pass  If you can't get off the O-line's blocks, at least try to hinder the QB's passing lanes once in a while.  Personally, I think it is a result of Doc's penchant for undersized D lineman, a 220# D end ain't gonna cut it unless he's very, very athletic and quick.  Other factor is the "coaching" our D linemen are getting, or the lack thereof!!
