  • We are losing to a bottom feeder in the conference. Some heads need to roll!

Obviously from the play so far, North Texas isn't the "bottom feeder."

  • After reading from fall camp that we were throwing to our backs I thought it would be part of our offense, it doesn't seem to be.  I think our backs are underutilized.

And there is a package for Birdsong too!!!

  • We had first and goal at the 2 after penalty in end zone.  Ran twice and got a yard.  Then score on a pass.  Wonder why Anderson wasn't in; maybe because he had problems holding on to ball.  Or maybe Coaches just didn't think our O line could block for a yard, and they were right.  Whole O line is underperforming or are just mediocre, including our 6th year ballyhooed tackle. Steve Cotton noted on the radio that NTSU's blitzes have confused our line, which is a reflection of coaching (THEIRS) and lack of coaching (OURS)!

Conversely, our defense is being shredded, D line being manhandled and our linebackers are too damn slow to locate and close on the ball carriers.  Either our yearly bounty of talented, athletic and "fast" recruits from South Florida are VASTLY OVERRATED or are being TERRIBLY UNDERCOACHED!!!

  • Weird! We put a man on that guy in motion and it stopped their play. Maybe should have done it all night.

  • As a novice, I could be wrong, but aren't there three general things you do against the blitz...draw, screen, slant. Don't we have any of those? Or you could pick it up.

Unfortunately, card, none of the 3 are in Billy Legg's "extensive" playbook!! ;D

  •  I think a lot of it is leadership.  Some of it from the coaches and a good bit of it from the players. You need players to step up and lead...we don't seem to have those.  I think we all had some expectations that were a bit too high.

  • The NT team looks like they want to win.  And that they enjoy playing ball.  We look like we just want to run out the clock.

  • Ok, I'm done. Our coaches didn't put anything in place to offset those blitzes. No screens, slants, or anything! Horrible display tonight.
