    5: Offensive line

Many new faces will be looking to get playing time offer lots of intrigue on the offensive line. Also, it fits in line with offensive line coach Alex Mirabal's mentality of "Five men, one mind."

The 2016 season was riddled with injuries. There were preseason injuries that kept many of the starters from getting in conditioning before the season started - something head coach Doc Holliday mentioned at his preseason press conference on Monday - and there were in-season injuries to senior leaders Michael Selby and Clint Van Horn that left the team young at several positions.

Despite the injuries, Marshall made a smart move in not burning the redshirts of several freshmen who were sitting out.

With sophomore Levi Brown as the returning leader at center and junior guards Jordan Dowrey and Nathaniel Devers healthy after they never really got to that point in 2016, there is a strong foundation on which to build.

Out of the newcomers in the mix, red-shirt freshman tackle Tarik Adams will be the one to push incumbent seniors Sandley Jean-Felix and A.J. Addison the most.
