1st play of 2nd half on offense, same play....run with two 4 yard button hooks and curls.  Our offensive design is to avg. 4 yards a play.

$30 minimum for tickets probably has something to do with it. Way too much for the type of teams we play.

Exactly, I could see paying that to see the old C-USA teams we used to play. But Old Dominion, etc, no way. I could see $15 general admission but not the ludicrous $25 that they get. It's the reason I stayed home. The principle.

I wish Marshall had offered the three game mini-ticket plan for $65 this year. I bought it then. And this year they came up with a gimmick plan for $95 that if the Herd wins, you win (as long as the Herd remains unbeaten at home you have a ticket to each successive game). Who would want to gamble on that proposition considering the 3-9 fiasco last year?

Hamrick should be very concerned about this low homecoming crowd turnout.  Things look worse than I thought.  Anyone who says things are okay are denying the situation.  The Legg may need to be amputated to save the body and breath new life into the program.

Several high schools have homecomings today. They are an all day affair any more. Why we were not their today.

No way 26,100 in the stands from what I seen.  Didn't see the West stands on ESPN3, but the East stands and Endzone were probably 40% full at most.  That's probably 10,000.  The West side at 70% would probably be 11,000 for a total of 21,000 attending.

And the end zone was a lot more full than previous poster said. It was 75-80% full imo.

Here's the thing that cheeses me. All the people who come to tailgate and don't go to the game. The crowd wasn't good, wasn't bad.  there have been huge ticket missteps and marketing and PR blunders and you should expect them to continue. But this is a pretty good team...not among our best, but competitive and talented. End of the day, you can only really control where your ass is on Saturday.

I was there at the game and the crowd sucked.  But it's been mentioned in this thread and others that it was easily watched on TV/computer, homecomings all over the area, some uneventful/boring games this year, bad record last year, Hamrick ticked off fans, seating ticked off fans, price vs product is a bad value, opponent was bad, etc etc.  So yeah some people watching it on TV are part of the problem.  But the reasons why they're at home look to be the bigger issue if we ever want the majority of them to return.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention the "I'm afraid beer will be spilled on me" reason for non-attendance.

2016 and 2010 crowds were lower, just to name a couple.
