You said it....UGLY!!!!! And that is why attendance is suffering bigtime. Every team you play has absolutely ZERO offense an couldn't score against most high school teams. And luckily even though our offense is bad we can always seem to scratch out enough offense to outscore teams that have ZERO offense. People aren't going to spend their hard earned cash to fall asleep. They can do that for free.

Winning is all that matters. I am not happy with the first half but after 3-9 a win is a win.  Last year we don’t win the last two games.

ODU coaches never tried to balance and mix up the game.  The D did what was needed to stop a team that was going to pound bc there qb is 17 yrs old.  The Herd offense remains a ? (Willie Johnson is not happy after today), the D needs to face the pass without McClain-Sapp, Couch, and Drayton, and now Dopson.  Really like Malik Thompson's 300lbs.  Special Teams missed a gimmie so huge concern about the FG to tie or take the lead.  This score does not indicate the possible outcome with a qb threat.  If the Herd wins a championship the D got us there right now.  I wish our FG kicking game was like our D.  If it was we would be locks to win CUSA.  I hope Coach Holliday is not satisfied right now.

VT up 31-0 going into 4th.  Win by 38, we win by 32.  Difference is they had 500+ yards to our 300+ yards of offense.  D total yards comparable.  We should be as good as VT considering we should have beaten them.  If our offense and st were better we are better than VT.  Holliday is an offensive system away from having a Top 10 team.  We are an offense away right now. I see it.   Wr's are not involved enough to show athleticism and skill.

I CHOOSE to focus on the positive with Mother Marshall and not get distracted with the woulda coulda shoulda.

I come from an era of futile FB. The late 60's and early 70's. 5-1 to start the season is better than I thought would happen.

I celebrate every positive that happens knowing that Stuff happens and could have to live with misery like last year.

This is a good half season, enjoy while you can, don't focus on negatives and past failure.

I don’t disagree on legg but when most said we would be lucky to be 500 if not worse I Love where we are.  I refuse to make excuses for winning games.  We won by 32 today playing awesome defense and a decent second half of offense.  I tell you this much give me 28 offensive points every game and a win I will take it.  Heck I don’t care what we score as long as we win. 11-1 and barely winning sure beats the alternative.

Doc again is so dang lucky we play nothing but cupcakes. Dude literally hit the lottery. Makes millions off of a schedule full of 2-10 teams (and yes that is what it averages out to be), then loses to every team with a pulse.

What happens when we play an average team or God forbid a good team. Well if we keep playing like this we'll get destroyed. We made soon to be 0-7 Charlotte look like Notre Dame last week.

I think there is a misunderstanding in the fans perspective. Nobody is saying they aren't happy we are winning.  And I realize we can only beat who we play. But some of us aren't sold when (like someone said) the teams we beat are a combined 8-25. ODU and Charlotte didn't even have a football team until a few short years ago. UAB dropped football and is starting over. Kent and Miami are both really bad. Now if we had of beaten all of these teams by 30-40 points or more I don't think anyone would be complaining because the results would be what you expect against really bad teams. Like I said I think our D is pretty solid but I would like for them to be tested. I think Heater is the best coach we have on the staff IMO. Doc and Legg are holding the offense back and that is sad. Doc on the post game show exposed who he is. He said the special teams and D played great and the offense did what we ask them (just take care of the ball). That said it all. he is old school and doesn't want the offense to take any chances unless they are in dire need. That is why we struggle against most teams that we should be blowing out. Today worked out but that is why we struggle at times with much inferior teams. Let the offense play and stop playing afraid.
