Topic: Not much difference...

For all of the complaining about CUSA...I just did a scan of the MAC, Sunbelt and Mountain West...not a measurable difference between them... only 1 top 25 win in total and that was Troy over LSU and then they turned around and lost at home to a 2 win South Alabama team.

Our next 6 opponents all have winning records except MTSU.

 It appears that Sagarin has CUSA a little below the MAC (he has us and the MAC split by divisions) with the Sunbelt in third going in this last weekend. He has The Herd at #86 and there were at least five 1-AA teams ranked above us. I think the new rating will be out today?

I realize some posters don't like him, but he has a decent scale of judging team strengths. I believe his system is a good evaluation after six weeks?

The point is that there is not a large difference between the four conferences....I think there should be realignment and create a new regional conference...MU, Ohio, WKU, Appt St, Troy, Southern Miss, Liberty, Middle Tennessee, Miami, Toledo and add a couple more..
