  • After 28 years at the helm. Charlotte AD Judy Rose will step aside on June 30, 2018. She really has seen a lot of success there but I'm sure many 49'er fans are happy.

  • The money, the enrollment, the land, the facilities, the corporate support, the location?  This would be a great job.  Rose is/was one of the most respected AD's in the country and brought Soccer, Women' Basketball, and Men's basketball Final Fours to Charlotte.

No doubt, they will get some quality candidates for the job.

  • With the issues with Richardson some of the corporate funding is going to go away....new owners likely will not have any ties to UNCC.

  • I wonder if Lee Moon will apply for the job?
Retired 10 years early to follow Herd sports.
Those 10 years have been marvelous.

  • Halton Arena = local Pepsi Cola bottling company / Richardson Stadium - looking to sell the Panthers for $2-3 Billion.  Expect Wofford and perhaps UNCC to benefit.  Richardson/McColl Field - McColl (CEO of Bank of America in the heyday) still has tons of money.  Everywhere you look at UNCC has a local corporate branding.  Rose built $100 million worth of facilities.

Heck, maybe even ole "slow nickel" Kayo Marcum will throw his hat in the ring.  He has some notoriety in the Carolinas with his former positions with NASCAR and the Univ. of South Carolina!!

  • When the NCAA decides on the location for a championship, don't they pick a local school as the host? I don't believe colleges bid on the Final Four or even the Regionals?
