  • SoMiss up big on UTEP. That trip may not be as dangerous as in the past. If SoMiss holds, I definitely wouldn't be as worried as before.

  • FIU choked away an upset of MTSU.. Lost by 5 in OT, the Panthers shot terrible from the Free throw line.

But, speaking of trips to Texas, Rice and ODU are in a dogfight at Rice right now.

Many Bulldog fans thought that kicking off Jaylen Harris would make them better because he apparently had a bad attitude. But, they are sorely missing his 15 pts per game.

  • Conference shocker of the night:  "woeful" Charlotte beat North Texas AT NT!  Mean Green/Eagles had been 2-0 in conference play prior to tonight.

Meanwhile 3 MU foes from the OVC, Morehead, Eastern KY. and UT-Martin all lost tonight, MSU and EKU at home.

  • I watched UTSA game vs LT.  UTSA is no slouch and plays a lot like us....although maybe a little too hurried.

I believe that they actually have better "3" averages than us.

  • UTSA gets up and down court and gets a lot of shots off.  they also pass the ball pretty well.  Their FR PG Jackson is really good.  They played a lot of zone vs LT which also helped them rebound.  They get fatiqued at times and their zone breaks down and they lose their legs on shots...not sure how much depth they have. One of best forwards got in foul trouble early but was big in 2nd half.  He can really shoot 3 ball too.

At times they get hurried and very sloppy and taking contested shots etc but they keep coming at you.  When they don't take rushed shots they can really be good. They are not big and they lost their "big" guy to injuries. They look at lot like we did before we calmed down a bit with Elmore. In fairness, Bracey didn't start for LT due to injury but ended up playing quite a bit but not 100%.  We only play UTSA on road and they are undefeated at home I believe but have played mostly lower division and bad teams at home thus far.

  • Yep he is a 4 star recruit. This team imo will be the team to beat come tourny time. I think they will be better than mtsu once anderson gets acclimated. I pumped for tomorrow night.

  • If we continue playing d the way we have last 3 games, i like us also. We know we can score. But we have been playing some good d lately. The addition of watson and the growth of williams has really helped in that area.

  • Don't know how many of you all feel, but right now, I've got some serious cabin fever after these last 10 days or so of Arctic weather.  I know its going to be cold again tomorrow night, but other than that the weather is suppose to be good: no precip, sunny during the day, etc.  So I'm really ready to let off some serious steam at the Cam tomorrow evening, 2+ hour drive notwithstanding!!  Hope plenty of you are ready to join me in raising some "Herd Hell" in the Big Butterfly, as ole Ernie called it!!  Seriously hope we can have a loud crowd of 7,000 plus Kelly Green clad fans being as obnoxious as legally allowed,  ;D, when the Toppers take the floor.  GO HERD!!

  • We've had their number for several years in basketball.  I hope that continues.  I'm worried, but optimistic at the same time.  We keep it close for 30 minutes, we own the last ten.  I have faith in our team, but LaTech tanking has me a little concerned that it was a bit more % them sucking rather than us being great.  One thing is for sure, our guys do not quit.  If we can limit early turnovers from bonehead passes I think we got this pretty soundly.  If not, could be a long night.

I know comparing scores isn't always the best way to compare two teams, but at the point we have 4 common opponents with WKU. They Beat S.Miss and EKU in blowouts just as we did, edged La Tech by 1 ans lost to Ohio on the road by four or five. We beat Ohio at home by 3 and handled La Tech a little easier. Based off that it seems that these should be two evenely matched teams tonight and a game that comes down to the final minute or two.

  • WKU is very dangerous and the addition of 4*Josh Anderson tonight makes them the team to beat in CUSA along with MTSU IMO. They have Johnson and Coleby 2 good inside players and a bunch of talented guards, Bearden, Thompson, Hollingsworth and others. The addition of Anderson really makes them dangerous. We will have to play D as good as we did against LT to have a shot IMO.
