Good 4th quarter. The trick play changed the game. Let's see how this staff works the players with the bye week. Happy we won but also still a little skeptical.
Those fumbles and a coupla other plays showed that Ali and Francher were often not on the same page in regards to right and left and hand off, fake, or RPO.
I guess we saw last night who they went to when a 2nd QB was needed. Though for only 1 play they showed confidence in throwing on his only play instead of a simple hand off
I said that last week, too, when Fancher had to keep moving Ali to the right place before the snap. It's causing busted plays and Cam has to improvise and is doing it well.
Great observation! I guess the debate is over on who is the backup at the QB position?
Who was Qb 2. Transfer?
Fancher is much better than most on this board has given him credit for.
It is a quality win for our program. But the offensive line is still going to be a big question. There were a lot of plays during the game where a defensive end would run free untouched into the backfield. The lack of push on short yardage runs throughout most of the game is glaring.I am pleased with most of the aspects of the other positions on our team.
Defense is almost just as good as the past few years?clean up some tackling and wrap up instead of just dipping shoulders. Get to the QB just a little faster than we did tonight and we should see an exciting defense. My vote is still out on Fancher. He Made some great throws but two costly fumbles that would have cost us the game against a bigger opponent. The WRs just way to many drops this evening. Tricket needs to be more creative the entire game. The double pass was great and got momentum flowing our way but he needs to be a bit more imaginative. Just my opinion take it or leave it.
