    Interesting possibility.

I was reading different fan theory possibilities on the realignment board that it could replace the RSN model. Where Charleston-Huntington market would have on the Marshall ESPN+ game on our CW but the Atlanta CW would have on the Georgia State game. Might defeat the purpose of buying ESPN+ though. Unless CW is paying more than what subscriber fees would be.

Probably will just end up being the best game possible for every market.

  • CW must be trying hard to get in the college football game. They had some ACC rights last year with NC State playing on there seemingly every week. They've added Oregon State/Wazzu home rights this year.

In addition to ACC and PAC2 college football they have ACC hoops, LIV Golf with NASCAR Xfinity Series and WWE NXT coming soon.

Now that YouTube TV has Charleston-Huntington's WQCW I don't mind it.
It was an inconvenience when we played NC State and they hadn't added it yet.

  • the fact that it'd likely be only one Herd game a year in football is not be all-end all.  if more Herd football games and/or basketball game exclusive rights are sold off by espn then i would no longer be a happy camper.  that would effectively force me to stop watching the Herd live or delayed and simply read the box scores instead.

for me at the moment, espn+ during fall/winter sports is the best thing going for access consistency and consistency is the most important aspect.  i can always hop on the wagon if other sports are doing well, especially softball and baseball.  however, i understand nothing lasts forever- there's no guarantee the next SBC contract will be with espn or solely with espn.

my TV entertainment consists only of streaming, Netflix for my wife, an old ROKU for my other not-smart TV, and homemade OTA antennas which worked great in my area for last year's NC Sate game on CW
