"Too many people are thinking of security instead of opportunity; they seem more afraid of life than of death"  – James F. Byrnes

Government is the most dangerous institution known to man. Throughout history it has violated the rights of men more than any individual or group of individuals could do: it has killed people, enslaved them, sent them to forced labor and concentration camps, and regularly robbed and pillaged them of the fruits of their expended labor. ~ JOHN HOSPERS

  • JMU man. Dang. If we aren't smart enough to figure it out on our own with a massive head start...can we just copy exactly what they are doing in everything. I wouldn't be surprised if they are in the ACC in 10 years. It hurts...we are getting absolutely blown by like we are standing still.

  • Just saw where we finished 50th out of all schools in baseball attendance - average crowd 1679.
Finished 13th in attendance for non P5 schools. Not bad considering our record. We did play much better at home.
We'll see if we can sustain that or grow attendance if the team performs better.

The only schools that finished with higher attendance than us in the Sun Belt are the 4 that made regionals, if I remember correctly

  • I learned today that 20 of our 55 games this season were against teams that made the NCAA Baseball Tournament. Another four were against College of Charleston who was seen by some a snub from the tournament.
Not using this as an excuse as to why we struggled this year, rather pointing out that there is lots of opportunity for Herd baseball in this conference if we improve.

  • Tbh I hope they all do well as it will only give the conference some respect. Obviously, making the postseason should be our goal as well.

Don't know how many times you've visited Hburg, but the difference is obvious to anyone who goes there often, as I do.

They've got bags and bags and bags of money. You can see it everywhere you go in Hburg.  Constant new road construction, new buildings, new everything. The difference is clear, how to close the gap isn't.
