  • I figured he'd be playing over there. He definitely has the talent to be a big time tight end in the NFL. He is a great blocker, has good speed, and great hands. He will be on an NFL roster in the near future.

  • Am I reading that right? Was Rader the #2-overall draft pick?

  • It's a hoax... here's the real draft listing... not a Marshall player to be found, actually, for the first time in recent memory...

  • Wonder why someone would go the trouble of creating a hoax? It's not like NFL Europe is the pinnacle of pro football.

  • There are two different "drafts".  One is the allocation draft of players allocated from current NFL team rosters. The other is the free agent draft.  Jason Rader was picked in the free agent draft as he was not currently on an NFL team.  He was in fact the second player drafted in that format and reports to Tampa soon for training camp before departing for NFL Europe.  Here is a story of the two drafts http://www.nfleurope.com/news/story/8194253

Yes, he is good, but great hands and good speed...he runs a 4.8.  If his speed was 4.6 range we would have seen him in the NFL this year.

  • I've seen NFL Europe players in Tampa before, but didn't realize why they were training here. I was in Ybor City (a district of Tampa) not too long ago and ran into a bunch of players, playing tourists, from one of the NFLE teams. A small film crew was chronicling their visit for the news 'back home'.
