  • Line: Georgia -2.5
    Sagarin: Georgia 21 - 20 Alabama
    Massey: Georgia 28 - 27 Alabama
    ESPN: Georgia (58%) - (42%) Alabama
    0/3 *(Weighted): Georgia (71%) 30 - 25 (29%) Alabama

    *Unweighted results were virtually identical

Lots of agreement here. Looking back at the last matchup, it looks like the Bulldogs had a couple of costly turnovers. Perhaps their defense will step up and create a couple this time?

If you didn't get enough of these two in the SEC title game, here's your chance (did you think the Cartel Football Playoff committee would have it any other way?!)

  • History tells me that Alabama wins this one.  With Alabama being an under dog it really does not bode well for Georgia.  Alabama by at least 14.  IMO

  • Somebody at church this morning asked me who I thought would win tomorrow night. I really don't care who does. I have lost interest in college football when it comes to the P5.

I agree.  The computers would pick us to beat MTSU at their place every time we play them but we ever do.  Georgia simply does not know how to beat Alabama and there's no predictor for that because it's not logical.

  • I'm sure, that with this all SEC matchup, all the folks involved in the Gambling/Gaming industry, Vegas and everywhere else, are ecstatic, as are all the top brass at ESPN/ABC/Disney, who are the real "puppet masters" who pull the strings which control, at least, the major division college football and basketball in the US, if not ALL of college sports.

Like a lot of other long time College sports fans, I've grown increasingly weary of the Same-O, Same-O names and outcomes in these main collegiate sports championship events.  Will probably enjoy a lot more on Monday evening viewing some episodes of "Andy Griffith" and perhaps, "Gomer Pyle", along with an episode or two of any variation of the "NCIS" series, be it the original, LA, New Orleans, Hawaii, or even if its "NCIS-Guyandotte"! ;D

  • Tough to beat same team twice. On that alone, i'll take GA. Though don't really care either way and don't have ability to watch it.

Government is the most dangerous institution known to man. Throughout history it has violated the rights of men more than any individual or group of individuals could do: it has killed people, enslaved them, sent them to forced labor and concentration camps, and regularly robbed and pillaged them of the fruits of their expended labor. ~ JOHN HOSPERS

  • I like when everyone counts Saban out.  Bama 30. Dawgs 20.

Now that sports betting is pretty well accepted in stated, can we revisit the weekly threads? I need you to help beat Vegas.

  • Ought-three, you have been very good at these predictions. Do you often bet real money or just do it for fun?

Haven't you learned anything being on this board you should never bet against ought-three? The dude is pretty accurate with his formula.

I won't rule it out; gotta see what kind of time I have available between now and then.

It isn't as hard as it looks to be accurate. A person who picks P5 over G5 will be right 75-85% of the time. I suppose the difficulty is in nailing down the spread and O/U, so that's different I suppose.

I don't gamble or play the lottery. It's just fun for me. I used to do this kind of thing in school (when I probably should have been paying attention haha)

If that star WR hadnt gotten hurt or they make that 2 point conversion I think they wouldve found a way to win the game. Oh well?.
