this forum is open for your comments. we know you have a fine relationship with Pruett, so is there any insight that you can share with us on why or what has prompted the events that happened today? The fan base is extremely concerned with the direction the program took today. Please enlighten us with something, anything that may relieve some of the stress most of us are feeling. Thanks.

:mad: Wolf, I work for M.T. Reynolds. He usually comes through the plant a couple times a week and stops to talk with me for a while. I'm going to hit him up for all the inside info and will let everybody know what he has to say. I know he knows whats going on and I'll get it out of him.

Wolf, even if Marshall were "out there," I don't think he's perusing internet message boards.

In fact, I'm pretty sure he's getting ready to fly down to the ACC tournament.

This is not over. We've only heard from one of the big time boosters in this town.

If you have a weak stommach, don't persue this. You won't like what you uncover. It makes me ill.

Pruett was right when he said that it has been well thought out. I don't doubt that retirement wasn't constantly on his mind for some time now. He's fought this battle that long. And no, Thank God, it's not his health, but I don't doubt it hasn't led to health problems.

And before you ask, if you need "a source" to the above statement(though nothing earth-shattering was aired), write my post off as BS 'cause you're not getting one.

Boys, I am telling you I don't trust the guy at the helm. The Ferrell guy. You all wait and see. Some people are going to destroy our football program if they continue. This thing stinks. I agree with Blade.

I also agree that something stinks in this whole thing and if you don't think so I have some beachfront property in Richwood, WV to sell you. Don't you think it is funny that coach even turned down a non coaching role with Marshall that would not have been a stressful job most likely? Maybe would just been an advisor role or something. As much love as he has for this school and to just up and retire with no other tie to the school?!!

Something smells in this guys and if you can't see this then you are blind! Especially with the move to a new conference and getting ready to play WVU, coach I would think would be excited to step down and just take a less stressful role at MU, which it would have been. He turns it down?!! Just not right guys I am telling you.

Ummm... Thunders, Pruett is on record in multiple places that he IS going to sit down in April with Farrell in order to outline the work he's going to do for MU in the future.

I don't dispute your overarching concern, just with this being an argument for that concern -- in truth, the situation is the exact opposite.

Glad to see someone has enough sence to realize that trusting someone who looks like a used car salesman or Walmart mgr is not going to get you too far, MF just another pawn in what will eventually make many of you wonder why you will continue to support Marshall athletics or academics

Guys I believe your comments about Mike Farrell couldn't be farther from the truth. Do any of you actually know him? Although I have met him more than once I don't really know him. But I do know enough about him to know his dedication to the University should not be questioned.

I agree with one of the previous posts. I think Bob's words were chosen carefully and he said what he felt. And he wouldn't be coming back to talk to Mike if he were so pissed that he just up and retired. There is no one on these boards or on earth for that matter that cares more about the FB program than BP. He would not give that up for any reason other than what he stated. He felt it was time.

It's amazing what people will do for power, and upward mobility. Do you now think making MU weaker would NOT be a feather in his cap if he were to go to Charleston in some type of appointment, or political run?

Not saying he is or isn't, just that a persons loyalty is primarily to himself,and to his ego, NOT to his school.

I have heard the lawsuit by former compliance director Ridpath has worn on Pruett. I also hear that he has been cleaning out his office four the last four weeks.

I had heard one of the reasons BP retired was because of the impending lawsuit by former compliance director Ridpath. I also understand that BP was moving things from his office four weeks ago.
